The DAS1820 is a portable, high-speed data acquisition system with a compact dual-slot chassis. It shares its hardware architecture and module ecosystem with the larger DAS1800, delivering near-identical performance in a smaller solution. This shared platform offers plug-and-play functionality, allowing users to reconfigure modules without the need for factory recalibration.
For high-speed measurements, the D18-UNI4 and D18-HVM4 provide simultaneous sampling at rates up to 1 MSa/s. The HVM4 module is rated for high-voltage measurements up to ± 1500 VDC or 1000 Vrms. For capturing slower trends, the D18-MUX8 offers 8 multiplexed channels. This instrument is supported by an internal 500 GB solid-state drive and an optional battery that provides up to 4 hours of field operation, ensuring long-duration recording even in remote locations.
The software environment is designed for efficiency and advanced analysis, allowing users to configure up to three different sampling rates for recording single or multiple files simultaneously. Additionally, the system supports complex power analysis for DC, single-phase, and 3-phase systems (50 Hz, 60 Hz and 400 Hz), alongside custom script channels for real-time single and multichannel calculations.
Users can interact with data directly via the integrated 12-inch HD touchscreen, which supports intuitive gestures like pinch-to-zoom for viewing real-time waveforms, phasor diagrams, and histograms. The DAS1820 also supports remote control through a web server or VNC and includes complimentary DASpro software for detailed PC-based data viewing.
